From 18 to 20 April 2010 the GNTB staged the 36th GTM Germany Travel Mart in the Rhine-Main region in partnership with Mainz Marketing. Participants from around the world and suppliers from Germany met in Mainz.

Every year Mainz's Rosengarten and Volkspark are the sites for the Wine Market, the last weekend in August and the first weekend in September. White wines and rosés from the previous year are offered as well as some reds as well as wines from earlier vintages.

Situated in front of the impressive backdrop of the cathedral of Mainz numerous vendors offer a wide range of Christmas specialities and artisans present their home-made decorations. A special attraction is the handcarved scene of the Holy Family with lifesize limewood statues, the largest of its kind in Europe.
