November's Theme of the Month - Break Free from Loneliness!
Loneliness and Being Alone as a Theme in Literature
At the Anna Seghers Public Library, the focus in November is on loneliness.
Loneliness isn’t always visible—and it can affect people of all ages, even when we’re surrounded by others. In November, the Public Library aims to raise awareness of this important social issue and to serve as a place for exchange and gathering to combat loneliness.
The feeling of loneliness can be particularly acute during the dark months at the end of the year. The Anna Seghers Public Library is therefore dedicating a themed book display to this topic, featuring works that explore the themes of loneliness, community, and belonging in a variety of ways.
The selected literature is intended to raise awareness, offer encouragement, and inspire people to talk about their own feelings and reach out to others.
