As the first point of contact for questions about addiction, the Office for Addiction Prevention at the State Center for Health Promotion in Rhineland-Palatinate (LZG) offers a telephone hotline. The addiction information line can be called free of charge from a landline on 0800-5511600 and provides general information on addiction disorders as well as specific information on alcohol, medication, cannabis, and gambling around the clock. Callers can also enter their zip code to receive anonymous information about the nearest general addiction counseling center, self-help group, and the nearest counseling center for gambling addiction in Rhineland-Palatinate.
