People are at the heart of what we do – Caritas' social commitment is an expression of Christian faith and Christian hope. In accordance with our Christian mission, which is based on Jesus Christ's commandment of love, we support, encourage, and accompany people who are in need of help or find themselves in emergency situations.

At the same time, the Caritas Association for the Diocese of Mainz sees itself as an advocate and partner for disadvantaged people and gives them and their concerns a voice.

The Caritas Association for the Diocese of Mainz also opposes social and political developments that lead to discrimination or exclusion.
