The purpose of the association is, in general terms, to promote internationalism, equality for all citizens, and tolerance in all areas of culture and international understanding.

Specifically, the association pursues the following goals:

• Promoting diversity in society
• Promoting fairer access to education for all
• Supporting the promotion of multilingualism
• Improving the legal situation with regard to the language of origin
• Improving the situation of teachers of languages of origin through better integration into the teaching staff and better working conditions
• Promoting fairer health care for all
• Promoting the participation and equal treatment of migrants in all areas of society
• Promoting intercultural competence and intercultural openness in all areas of society
• Preserving different cultures (e.g., preserving the different cultures of the multi-ethnic state of Iran)
