The association supports the maintenance and further expansion of the wildlife park in Mainz-Gonsenheim and the integrated bird sanctuary, which serves to take in and care for injured wild birds. The association's purpose is to inform the public about wild animals, primarily European species, that otherwise live freely in nature, in order to raise and promote awareness of the need to protect them and preserve their habitat (in terms of nature and species conservation).

The support and expansion of the bird sanctuary is intended to make a direct contribution to animal welfare. The association seeks to achieve this through volunteer work, press and public relations, and informational events.
