KfA – the musicians' initiative in Mainz for promoting and expanding the subcultural music scene in the region. Our more than 150 active members regularly organize concert events together, most of which they perform themselves with their own bands. Their involvement ranges from professional advertising and public relations in the run-up to the event to putting together the necessary live equipment and providing technical support during the event.

Our annual highlights include the Christmas charity event "Nikolausrock" and the three-day Rockfield Open Air, which attracts over 2,000 visitors to the courtyard of the Reduit cultural center on Theodor-Heuss-Brücke in Mainz-Kastel.

We cooperate with the cities of Mainz and Wiesbaden as well as with live clubs in Mainz, Wiesbaden, and Büdingen. In order to offer our concertgoers the greatest possible variety of styles, we welcome music groups of all genres and sizes.
