The purpose of the association is to promote the public access channel and local and regional communication in the Mainz area. This is achieved through media education, by providing free advice to interested parties on the use of technical media for the production and distribution of self-produced and self-managed content, and by providing or arranging for the provision of all kinds of production assistance free of charge. The association cooperates closely with the universities based in Mainz.
