The Friends of the Mainz-Gonsenheim Fire Department Music Band currently consists of 40 musicians aged between 16 and 73. The band's repertoire covers the entire spectrum of brass music, ranging from classical marches, polkas, and waltzes to concert pieces of all styles.

Highlights of the orchestra's calendar include the Mother's Day concert in May, the park serenade in July, and the church music concert in December. The band also provides musical accompaniment for church and secular events in and around Gonsenheim.
