Objectives and services Soroptimist International is a global international service organization for professional women.

Objectives:

• Uphold high ethical standards
• to promote human rights and, in particular, the advancement of women
• Deepening friendship and a sense of belonging among Soroptimists in all countries
• Promote helpfulness and human understanding
• Contribute to international understanding and respect worldwide.

Social activities in Mainz include events on the topic of "human rights," participation in the State Women's Council, support for girls' education through a career orientation project at Femma (girls' shelter), and a joint project with the Zagreb Connection Club (Croatia) to help landmine victims.

Furthermore, international projects are supported and promoted, including a kindergarten in Bogota.
