Enabling children, young people, and adults to participate in rowing is the statutory goal of the Weisenauer Ruderverein 1913 e.V. (Weisenau Rowing Club)
. Regular and extensive training sessions are held. In addition to regular rowing activities, gymnastics, strength training, and endurance sports are also offered.
At the beginning of each season in the spring, a rowing course for beginners is offered.
The club also has an extensive social calendar with rowing trips and weekend events.

The boathouse is located on the banks of the Rhine next to the Weisenau Bridge in Mainz.
