Just under 380 farms have joined the Bioland Regional Association of Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland. In the wine-growing regions of the Ahr, Mosel, Nahe, Palatinate, and Rheinhessen, some 70 Bioland winemakers operate in accordance with the guidelines for organic viticulture. More than 80 processors—including bakeries, butcher shops, farm cheese dairies, wineries, restaurants, and a dairy—ensure the careful processing of regional Bioland foods.

The state executive board and its staff are committed to the healthy and stable growth of organic farming in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland. The office in Mainz represents its members’ interests in the political arena and promotes the marketing of organic products. It also advises its members on all matters related to cultivation, animal husbandry, and marketing, and supports them with public relations efforts.
