Association for Refugee Aid in Mainz and Surrounding Areas We
were founded in 2015 by a group of young people from Mainz who still want to help refugees settle into their new home.
Currently, we are a small group of students and professionals who meet once a month to discuss organizational matters and tackle new projects. Our main focus is on leisure activities for children and young people, such as outdoor games afternoons or making school bags together. Anyone who has a thoughtful and respectful approach to the issues of flight

and migration, or who wants to learn more about them, is welcome to join us. We are looking for long-term volunteers who are primarily interested in helping people with refugee experience.
Finally, as part of 'Seebrücke Mainz', we also want to make a political difference and draw attention to the dramatic conditions faced by refugees at Europe's external borders.
