Rheinfurs e.V. is an association based in Mainz, Germany, whose activities extend across the federal states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse. The association focuses on organizing events specifically dedicated to the popular subculture for those interested in anthropomorphic animal characters, also known as "furries." Such

events are intended to give these individuals the opportunity to fully indulge in their hobby. To this end, RheinFurs works on event concepts that encourage, for example, the wearing of animal costumes or "fursuits." The association also aims to create a closed environment in which every person, regardless of their origin, sexuality, ethnicity, or gender, can feel comfortable, have fun, and interact with like-minded people.
