The aim of the association is to research the life and work of Johann Rudolf Rocker (1873-1958) by

a) republishing Rocker's original works in German
b) promoting related research (and corresponding publications) that primarily focus on his connection to Mainz, or
c) promoting awareness of Rudolf Rocker as a person and
his thinking on anarcho-syndicalism d) organizing scientific, political, historical, and cultural conferences, including those intended for a
general audience e) collecting archival material, and
f) establishing and joining international networks and organizations that deal with topics consistent with the above.
