As training providers, the daycare centers of the state capital of Mainz offer between 30 and 40 positions each year for vocational trainees who are preparing for their final exam to become state-certified early childhood educators. In collaboration with vocational schools, the daycare centers provide guidance and support to these future professionals. The vocational trainees learn how to work with children of different age groups at our various municipal facilities. The range of care options at our facilities extends from infant care centers and kindergartens to after-school care centers and mixed-age groups.

At some vocational schools for social services that offer a program in social pedagogy, you can complete the training to become a preschool teacher on a part-time basis.

The part-time program lasts a total of 3 to 5 years. The duration of the program depends on individual circumstances.
