Kommunale Datenzentrale Mainz (KDZ Mainz) is the IT service provider of the state capital Mainz. It develops and supports modern and reliable IT solutions for increasingly complex administrative structures.
The main tasks of the KDZ Mainz include
- Operation of a data center certified in accordance with the requirements of ISO 27001 on the basis of IT baseline protection (BSI) for the information network with the administrative areas of civil registry, resident registration, school administration application, personnel administration, and their specialized procedures
- Information processing for the Mainz Group (Mainz city administration, municipal enterprises, affiliated companies) from requirements analysis to the productive use of IT solutions as a comprehensive service
- Connection of around 150 municipal administrative offices
- Application support for countless IT workstations
For many years, numerous other municipalities and public institutions in Rhineland-Palatinate have been drawing on the expertise of KDZ Mainz.
