Who works on the IEK: Internal working group and steering group
A consortium was commissioned to develop the integrated development concept, which was created jointly. The team consisted of three external offices. Within the working group, the lead was taken by the office scheuvens + wachten (Dortmund), which was supported in terms of content in the area of retail by BBE Handelsberatung (Cologne) and in the area of transport by the office Runge + Küchler (Düsseldorf). An internal working group consisting of representatives from all relevant departments of the Mainz city administration was responsible for the detailed pre-structuring and coordination of the planning process. In addition, the transfer and discussion of interim results in the political arena was ensured by the initiation of a steering group, which met at decisive junctures in the process.
