With an average daily treatment capacity of more than 45 million liters of wastewater, the Mainz Central Wastewater Treatment Plant is the largest municipal wastewater treatment plant in Rhineland-Palatinate. We make an indispensable contribution to public services and environmental protection, and we are constantly evolving—for example, through the construction of a fourth treatment stage and the implementation of other cutting-edge technologies.

We are happy to give guided tours of the treatment plant to groups and school classes starting in third grade by appointment, familiarizing them with the scale and processes of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant.
