With this privacy policy, we inform you in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applicable from May 25, 2018, about the processing of your personal data by us and about your rights.
This policy will be updated as necessary and published on the Mainz Economic Enterprise website. There you will also find the privacy policy for visitors to our website.
Who is responsible for the data processing of the business?
We receive your data directly from you, or it is collected and processed in accordance with legal regulations.
What do we process your data for (purpose of processing) and on what legal basis?
The collection of personal data is necessary in order to decide on your application, to comply with a legal obligation, or to conclude a contract with you. Your case worker will be happy to inform you of the exact purpose and legal basis. The legal basis for data protection is Art. 6 GDPR and § 3 LDSG or Art. 9 GDPR and § 19 LDSG for special categories of personal data.
Note: Consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR may be revoked at any time with effect for the future. This also applies to declarations of consent already given before the GDPR came into force.
Who receives your data?
Your data will only be disclosed if permitted by law.

How long will your data be stored?
Where necessary, we only process your personal data for the duration of the processing. Different deletion periods apply. In addition, we are subject to various storage and documentation obligations. The data from the online plan information service (registration data, orders) will be deleted after two years of inactivity on your user account.

We only transfer your data to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) (third countries) if this is necessary for the execution of legal administrative actions.

Right to object in individual cases
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) e) GDPR (data processing based on a balancing of interests). If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Right to object to the processing of data for direct marketing purposes
Mainz does not use direct marketing. The objection can be made informally.
