With papal roots
The cemetery in Ebersheim
The Catholic Church of St. Laurentius is a true Ebersheim landmark. First mentioned in a papal bull in 1184, the church has become an integral part of the townscape. The adjoining churchyard was not only the first burial site in the village, but also the starting point for today's district cemetery. At the end of the 20th century, the site was adapted to the needs of Ebersheim's development and expanded once again. Its central location and park-like appearance remained unaffected, of course.
