Your personal data will be collected and processed for the purpose of processing your application for benefits under the Federal Parental Allowance and Parental Leave Act (BEEG). This also includes the processing of your personal data when processing reimbursement claims from other social security agencies or other bodies, as well as combating benefit fraud. The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(2) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with Section 35 of the First Book of the Social Code (SGB I) and Sections 67 ff. of the Tenth Book of the Social Code (SGB X), as well as the BEEG.

- the responsible tax office (progression certificate),

if necessary.
Information and documents that the administration has received about you in connection with the procedure under the BEEG will also be forwarded to other social security agencies to the extent necessary for the statutory fulfillment of the tasks of the agencies concerned (Section 69 (1) SGB X).

Your data will not be stored for longer than is necessary for the respective processing purposes. Any storage beyond this is carried out exclusively to comply with statutory retention periods. Rights of data subjects vis-à-vis the controller
a) Right to information
You have the right to request confirmation from the controller as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed. If such processing is taking place, you may request information about all data being processed.
b) Right to rectification/completion
If you show us that the personal data processed by the parental allowance office is incorrect or incomplete, we will correct or complete it immediately after becoming aware of this.
c) Right to erasure
If you show us that personal data has been processed incorrectly, we will immediately arrange for the deletion of the data concerned. Data that is no longer required for the performance of tasks will also be deleted. Please note the information on the storage period (number 7).
d) Right to restriction of processing
Under certain conditions, you may request a restriction on the processing of your personal data. This may be considered, for example, if the parental allowance office no longer needs the data, but you need it to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims and deletion of the data would prejudice your legitimate interests.
e) Right to object to processing
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation. In the event of an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing of such data that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms. We may continue to process your personal data despite your objection if this serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We expressly point out that you can only receive or retain parental allowance if your personal data may be used and forwarded.
