Being able to live independently in old age is a precious commodity that we want to preserve for as long as possible. That's why most people want to continue living in their familiar surroundings during this stage of their lives, preferably in their own homes. Unfortunately, household chores often become more difficult to manage, and trips to the shops, doctor's office, or leisure activities become more arduous. Many seniors therefore want support in their everyday lives.

It is not always possible for someone from the family, neighborhood, or circle of friends to help out at short notice. Relatives may live far away in another city, or you may have lost loved ones in your immediate environment who used to be there for you. Many older people have a strong desire for more personal contact and conversation. For example, they would like to go for a walk with someone, have a coffee, or receive visitors.
