Breastfeeding and diapering guide
Dear parents and families, you are welcome here with babies and toddlers! The breastfeeding and changing guide will help you find places in Mainz where children can be breastfed, fed and/or changed.
You can use the breastfeeding and diaper-changing stations free of charge during their respective hours of operation. No appointment is necessary, and you are not required to make a purchase.
At the breastfeeding stations, our partners ensure the following quality standards for you:
- Clean
- A protected/undisturbed area for more privacy
- Suitable seating
The breastfeeding areas are intended as a supplementary service. Breastfeeding should be possible anywhere, not just at these designated locations.
At the changing stations, our partners ensure the following quality standards for you:
- Clean
- Accessible to all genders
- Appropriate equipment (changing table with fall protection, changing pad)
All changing stations are breastfeeding-friendly. This means you are also welcome to breastfeed there. However, we cannot guarantee a private/undisturbed space for you.
With this initiative, the state capital of Mainz is working to promote greater acceptance of diaper changing, breastfeeding, and bottle-feeding in public.
