In 2026, Intercultural Week will take place for the 51st time.

Held annually in September, Intercultural Week (IKW) has been organized by the state capital of Mainz since 1976. During this week, the Office for Intercultural Affairs and Labor Market Promotion, the Advisory Board for Migration and Integration, Mainz-based migrant organizations, and initiatives active in migration work in Mainz present their work.

Every year, Intercultural Week offers all residents of Mainz the opportunity to celebrate together, learn more, and get to know one another better—beyond their everyday encounters.
