Statistics app
Mainz statistics on the move! How many people actually live in Mainz Neustadt? How are the birth rates on the Lerchenberg? And how many people moved to Weisenau last year? The free KOSIS statistics app answers these questions and more.
The KOSIS statistics app allows users to access detailed statistical data—broken down by subject, location, and time—on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets, as well as in any browser on a PC. The app also enables users to compare selected data across years, neighborhoods, or cities.
Developed by the City of Augsburg, the app now contains data from more than forty German cities and offers a comprehensive set of figures covering demographics, housing, the labor market, and elections. In addition to tabular overviews, the data is also available as charts and thematic maps.
The statistics app can be downloaded for free from the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store and used on mobile devices, or accessed in any browser.
The statistics app is an application of the KOSIS community KOSIS App. The data is derived from the small-scale statistical data provided for the "Inner-City Spatial Observation" (IRB) by the municipal statistical offices of the participating cities.
The IRB is a collaborative project of the German Association of Cities, the Association of German City Statistics (VDSt), the KOSIS Network, the German Institute for Urban Studies, and the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR).
