Actions in the anniversary year

Floor adhesive campaign

Since a "birthday party" for the AK Gewalt is out of the question due to the pandemic, the specialist agencies and institutions that make up the working group have come up with an alternative. With the floor sticker campaign, they are implementing a contactless form of action to draw attention to the AK Gewalt and convey their messages against violence against women and children.  The floor stickers will be placed at various locations in the city center and in front of the counseling centers themselves. The campaign will kick off in early May when patron Mayor Michael Ebling places his "sticker against violence" on Geschwister-Heinefetter-Platz.

The floor sticker campaign will be accompanied by the use of a special postmark created especially for the anniversary of the AK, which will be applied to all municipal mail items.

Then there is also a "birthday poster" that was designed using quotes from the floor sticker campaign.

Women's Office photo competition

In this anniversary year, the Women's Office is launching a photo competition on June 1. Under the title "Your picture against violence against women. A photo competition for women," amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit their powerful images—in which women are not victims for once. Images that inspire hope. Images that show that there are ways out of violence, that women are not powerless.
The award ceremony will take place on November 25—the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
