Fraunhofer Institute for Microtechnology and Microsystems IMM
Description
Our scientists conduct research and development in the fields of energy, chemistry, and diagnostics. The focus is on hydrogen-based energy supply, sustainable chemistry and process analytics, as well as personalized diagnostics and liquid biopsy. We ensure compact, dynamic hydrogen supply that is also suitable for mobility, relying on catalytic processes and the increasing use of renewable fuels. We use structured reactors and continuous process control to precisely control and intensify chemical processes. We create efficient solutions for the extraction and enrichment of relevant biomarkers for automated and personalized precision diagnostics in the laboratory and also on site. In this way, our work makes a significant contribution to the societal challenges of "safe, clean, and efficient energy," "climate protection, environment, and resource efficiency," and "health."
