Medienbildung Mainz is the media center of the city of Mainz – first known as Bildstelle and then as AV-Medienzentrum.

Here you will find a number of experts in media education and media pedagogy. We are in good company with medien.rlp – Institut für Medien und Pädagogik e.V., the partner for youth and educational work in everything related to media and education in Rhineland-Palatinate, kmb – Kreismedienzentrum Mainz-Bingen, and AVMZ – a joint institution of the dioceses of Fulda, Limburg, Mainz, Speyer, and Trier, based in Mainz, which serves to fulfill joint tasks in the field of AV media work for the entire area of these dioceses in the federal states of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland.

We exploit synergy effects and cooperate with partners within the organization as well as, for example, with the Rhineland-Palatinate State Institute of Education.

We lend educational media free of charge to all municipal educational institutions, advise them on its use, and provide teachers with further training in media education and technology.

Through our services, we aim to promote media literacy and support you in your work.

The changes in the media landscape and the introduction of various mobile devices into everyday school life are also reflected in our services, training offerings, and training program.

We support the educational institutions of the city of Mainz and its authorities.
