The Walpodenakademie has been hosting exhibitions, readings, and concerts since 1999. It used to be structured similarly to Pengland, but today a selection process is in place. In theory, anyone can still come, but the focus is on high-quality, contemporary art with an experimental and interdisciplinary approach. For several years now, the association has been located on Neubrunnenstraße, but its former location on Walpodenstraße is still preserved in its name.
