Various artists have settled in the large rooms of the former ammunition depot: sculptors, painters, filmmakers, graphic artists, photographers, and art therapists. There is also a gallery workshop and a ceramics workshop. The Professional Association of Visual Artists (BBK) Rhineland-Palatinate also has its office on the grounds of the Alte Patrone. Exhibitions by artists from Rhineland-Palatinate are held regularly in the BBK's gallery rooms.
