Not many young people today think about joining a choir. Some might want to sing, but have a typical image in their minds: a choir whose members are already of a certain age, where you have to have perfect mastery of music and singing, and which sings only old folk songs and classical pieces. Kostheim proves that there is another way. In January 2002, the Volkschor Sängerlust 1898 e.V. choir came up with the idea of starting a "younger and more modern choir." They soon found interested people who then met every Tuesday evening for regular rehearsals. Instead of the usual songs, TONart sings pop, rock, and gospel.

Performances, joint excursions, and celebrations are all part of the program. If we have piqued your interest, you are cordially invited to a trial choir rehearsal. We rehearse every Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Bürgerhaus Kostheim.
