The CCW is one of the most renowned carnival clubs in Mainz. Founded in 1948 in the post-war period by 14 seasoned men, we are now proud to have almost 800 members and, with over 300 active members, we are one of the largest delegations during the carnival season. The Burggrafengarde has been in existence since 1954. It is an integral part of the CCW.

Year-round youth work takes place in the "Sound of Weisenau" marching band and in the two ballet companies, which are supported by friends and patrons of the club. An important part of our activities is our indoor carnival. It usually comprises 12 sessions, including special sessions.

Occasional charity events are also held. The outstanding marching band and the often award-winning ballet are reliable representatives of the association. The club family meets for wine tastings, the summer festival of the guard and youth, the autumn trip, and the Christmas party, among other events. The CCW supports social institutions every year.
