The Mainz-Neustadt Men's Choir currently consists of 16 singers of very different ages and professional and musical backgrounds.

The repertoire ranges from drinking songs, workers' songs, robber songs, and pirate songs to works by songwriters, Brecht, and Die Ärzte, as well as the dwarves' song from "The Hobbit."

The arrangements are tailored exclusively to the ensemble by renowned composer and choir director Bernd Thewes, taking into account the mix of amateur and trained singers and their vocal ranges.

With "sing-in" events in public squares, preferably in Mainz's Neustadt district, and other performances, the group is now making a name for itself and enjoying great popularity with audiences.
