The guidelines for granting subsidies to promote vacation, leisure, and recreational activities for children and young people in the state capital of Mainz are currently being revised.
According to the currently valid funding guidelines, only applications for the Easter holidays in 2026 can be approved at this time.

You can apply for grants for holiday, leisure and recreational activities for children and young people (except school trips) from the Office for Youth and Family Affairs and the Office for Social Services of the state capital Mainz. You can only apply for one grant per child and activity per calendar year.

With funding under these subsidy guidelines, the state capital of Mainz aims to contribute to a relaxing and eventful vacation and leisure program for children and young people from financially disadvantaged families.

Amount of funding

Within the limits of the available budget, the state capital of Mainz subsidizes vacation, leisure, and recreational activities up to a participant contribution of 260 euros.

Application

Please submit your application at least two weeks before the start of the activity. Please use the application form provided and enclose the required documents.

Persons who do not receive any of the above benefits must also enclose:
