Brief description

How should the Mainz district of Ebersheim develop in the coming years? Around 200 interested citizens discussed this question in Ebersheim in June 2022 during two public events. Based on a position paper by deputy mayor Hubert Heimann, numerous proposals were developed in various areas such as construction, the environment, transportation, social affairs, and education.

Citizen participation

An information event took place in the Töngeshalle on June 7, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. In addition to citizens, the then mayor Michael Ebling, local council chairwoman Anette Odenweller, and urban development department head Manuela Matz were also in attendance. A presentation by Hubert Heimann, deputy local council chairman, introduced the topic of "Ebersheim 2040."

On June 25, a second event took place in the Töngeshalle from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., including workshops on the following topics that arose from the first event: Mobility, A vibrant town center, Ebersheim for children and young people, Education, Life in old age, Future structural development of Ebersheim.
