5th Mainz Youth Conference
Brief description
At the Mainz Youth Conference, up to 300 young people between the ages of 13 and 17 can develop their own municipal projects and present them to representatives from city politics and city administration. The young people then implement the projects with the support of the city administration and politicians. The Youth Conference takes place once a year.
Citizen participation
The 5th Mainz Youth Conference will take place on November 5, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Up to 300 young people can participate. Afterwards, the young people will be involved in and supported with the implementation of their ideas.

Planned planning and implementation period
The youth conference will take place on one morning. The young people's projects will be implemented within a year of the youth conference, i.e. by around November 2027.
Expected costs
The costs for the youth conference itself amount to approximately €8,000. It is not yet possible to estimate the costs for the subsequent project groups.

The date for the 5th Mainz Youth Conference has been set. Applications for the event will open in the summer.
