Your image against violence against women

Women's Office

Women's Office photo competition "Your picture against violence" - the winners have been announced!

As a reminder, the competition sought expressive images against violence against women—taken from the photographers' very personal perspectives.

The jury consisted of Gabriele Hufen, chairwoman of the Catholic Women's Social Service and head of the women's shelter in Mainz; Emma Leonhardt from the Mainz Women's Emergency Hotline, Karin Strauch, graphic designer and deputy equal opportunities officer at ZDF, Dr. Susanne Werling, equal opportunities officer at SWR in Mainz, and the Women's Office of the City of Mainz – did not find it easy to select the three award-worthy images from the submissions. The three best pictures will now be rewarded with prize money.

First place and the prize money of 500 euros goes to Bianca Wagner from Mainz with her picture "loud, wild, free."
Second place and the prize money of 300 euros goes to Catherine Lieser from Berlin with her picture "Saphira."
Third place and the prize money of €200 goes to Alice Wittrock from Cologne with her picture "Spring auf" (Jump Up).

The expert jury and the Women's Office of the City of Mainz congratulate the winners!
