The purpose of the association is to cultivate and nurture the "Goldisch Meenzer Fassenacht" (Mainz Carnival), i.e., to promote carnival traditions in Mainz am Rhein. This is achieved in particular through the following activities:

• Participation in carnival parades, including the design of political floats
• Organizing carnival balls and gentlemen's meetings
• Cooperation with regional and national ballet and show dance groups
• Promotion of drum and brass music
