The disposal of waste, including waste paper from private households, is the responsibility of public waste disposal authorities. These are the counties and independent cities.
Waste paper collections can also be carried out by commercial or non-profit providers (commercial or non-profit collection).
Regulations governing the disposal of waste paper are laid down in the individual waste disposal statutes and fee statutes.
These include information on waste disposal fees, waste collection calendars (collection intervals), and existing collection and delivery systems (blue bins, paper containers, recycling centers).
