If you want to hold an event on a public road, you will need a special exemption permit

This applies to the following events:

• Motor sports events involving motorcycles
• Classic car events
• Street festivals
• Sports and major events

You can submit the application in writing, by mail, email, or fax.

The road traffic authority works out the approval requirements together with:

• the organizers
• the authorities affected by the planned event.
• the police.

You will then receive a permit in the form of a notification. This will contain the applicable requirements and conditions.

• § 45 (1) in conjunction with § 44 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulations in conjunction with § 1 of the State Ordinance
• In accordance with Section 1 of the Schedule of Fees for Road Traffic Measures in conjunction with the Schedule of Fees
