Documents for natural persons:
- Application for a driving school license
- Valid identity card or passport with confirmation of registration from the local authority
- Officially certified copy of driving instructor's license (front and back)
- Proof of two years' full-time employment as a driving instructor (e.g., certificate from the relevant driving school in conjunction with the relevant entries in the driving instructor's license, employment contract)
- Certificate of participation in a driving school business management course at an officially recognized driving instructor training center or another professionally suitable institution
- Declaration as to whether and by which authority a driving school license has already been issued (a short, informal letter is sufficient here)
- True-to-scale plan of the classrooms with details of their equipment
- Copy of the purchase or rental agreement for the classrooms
- Declaration that the prescribed teaching materials are available (a short, informal letter is sufficient here)
- List of the type and number of training vehicles (with registration date and license plate number)
- Clearance certificate from the tax office, health insurance company, and employers' liability insurance association (not older than 3 months)
- Official extract from the Central Trade Register of the registration authority (not older than 3 months)
- Official certificate of good conduct (document type 0) from the registration authority (not older than 3 months), sent directly to the driver's license authority
- Business registration
Additional documents for legal entities (e.g., a limited liability company):
- A certified extract from the Central Trade Register or the Register of Associations
- ID, certificate of good conduct, driving instructor's license, proof of 2 years of full-time employment as a driving instructor, certificate of participation in a driving school business management course, etc. must be submitted by the responsible manager.
- You must provide evidence of any other professional obligations that the responsible manager of the training company has to fulfill.
- Persons authorized to represent the legal entity must apply for a certificate of good conduct to be submitted to the licensing authority in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Central Register Act.
- You must provide proof of the appointment of a responsible manager.
Once you have submitted all the required documents, the licensing authority will inspect the driving school premises, teaching materials, and teaching vehicles together with a specialist advisor on site. We will contact you shortly with a proposed appointment date.
Natural persons must submit their driving instructor's license to the licensing authority for registration immediately after receiving the license certificate.
