As an entrepreneur or a person authorized to represent or act on behalf of a company, you can apply for a company card. You always need a company card if you use vehicles that must be equipped with a digital tachograph.
As an entrepreneur, you are responsible for the proper use of the card or cards. In addition, you must ensure that the company card is inserted into the tachograph at the beginning and end of the vehicle's use for the company in order to assign the use of the vehicle to the company.
You are also responsible for ensuring that the data read from the tachographs is stored regularly. Upon request, you must hand this data over to the authorities or their representatives.
Company cards are valid for 5 years and are issued impersonally to the company.
You can apply for several of these cards for your company. The number is limited to a maximum of 62 company cards per company per card number series. If you need more company cards, you must start a new application process.
