After work and always with music – every third Tuesday of the month also in combination with a guided tour of the State Museum: The Mainz Wine Salon e.V. is made up of 20 young winemakers who offer culturally rich after-work parties in Mainz and Darmstadt. This allows them to introduce guests to high-quality wines from local vineyards in an uncomplicated setting combined with culture and food.
These various partnerships create a comprehensive experience. The young winemakers pour the wine themselves, answer questions about their wines, and in doing so foster personal connections and the wine culture of Rheinhessen. The Mainz Wine Salon, which celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2019, has been honored with the 2020 Best Of Wine Tourism Award. Since 2020, the Mainz Wine Salon has been operating under the name Weinsalon Rheinhessen.
