Fire Department Response

The fire department is part of this city administration and ensures safety around the clock in Mainz, the state capital—and as a professional fire department, we do so on a full-time basis. Thanks to comprehensive training and continuing education, we work as a great team every day to ensure that the public receives the best possible assistance; it’s a workplace we’re all proud of. With a modern setup in an exciting environment, no two days are ever the same.

  • Practical and theoretical training at the Mainz Professional Fire Department in the firefighting technical component
  • Classes at the vocational school (currently the Werner-Heisenberg-Schule (opens in a new tab) in Rüsselsheim)
  • Inter-company training (currently at the Vocational and Technology Center (BTZ) in Weiterstadt) and internships in the technical/trade component
