Ergebnisse der NORAH-Studie
Mit der NORAH-Studie liegt nun eine Untersuchung vor, die detailliert die gesundheitlichen Auswirkungen von Fluglärm auf die Bevölkerung im Rhein-Main-Gebiet untersucht hat. Am 20.11. stellen die Autoren die Studie in der Stadthalle von Flörsheim vor.

Politicians in the state capital were already aware in 2000 that the expansion of Frankfurt Airport would lead to a catastrophic increase in aircraft noise in the Mainz area. Therefore, all legal and political steps were taken at that time in an effort to counteract this scenario and prevent it as far as possible. 10 years of fighting aircraft noise in Mainz.
Initiative Future Rhine-Main
The Zukunft Rhein-Main initiative (opens in a new tab) is an association of 20 cities and municipalities and two counties in the Rhine-Main region, as well as BUND Hessen, which is campaigning against the planned expansion of Frankfurt Airport. The state capital Mainz is a member of this initiative.
