The department handles all matters related to road traffic within the city of Mainz. From the planning and design of traffic signs to their installation on public roads, the Traffic Safety Service contributes to safe traffic conditions in Mainz. In addition, we issue resident parking permits, parking privileges for people with severe disabilities, and grant traffic authority approval for every event held in Mainz. So we’ve got everything covered—from neighborhood street festivals to the Rose Monday parade.
