You must deregister your dog if:

• the dog has died.
• you have given the dog to someone else.
• you have taken the dog to an animal shelter.
• the dog has run away and you assume that it will not return.

You must deregister the dog and return the dog license tag to the relevant authority.

The deregistration must take place immediately upon termination of dog ownership.

Documents may be required. Please contact the relevant authority.

In principle, however, the dog license tag must be returned when deregistering.
