Children, adolescents, and young adults from families receiving citizen's income, social assistance, basic income support, child allowance, housing allowance, or benefits under § 2 or 3 of the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act (AsylbLG) are entitled to benefits for education and participation in social and cultural life in the community. The school authority is responsible for the two benefit areas of "school transportation" and "lunch in Mainz schools."

by school law, students are reimbursed for the cost of their ticket if this is necessary for them to attend school. Please inform the responsible contact person in good time which benefits from the education and participation package you would like to take advantage of so that your children can benefit from the full range of benefits.
