The department plans and organizes the basic and advanced training of the Mainz fire department's full-time and volunteer staff. It coordinates training courses, draws up specifications for guard and site training and is responsible for resource planning. This also includes the driving school for authorities, skipper and diver training as well as the coordination and planning of larger exercises.
